BS (Hons.) Medical Laboratory Technology

The BS (Hons.) Medical Laboratory Technology program at KIAS is designed to train students in laboratory diagnostics, enabling them to perform tests that help physicians detect, diagnose, and treat diseases
From analyzing blood samples to identifying infectious organisms, medical laboratory technologists are essential members of the healthcare  system.

This program provides in-depth knowledge of laboratory sciences, coupled with hands-on training in modern laboratory acilities at Khalida Memorial Hospital. Students develop strong analytical skills, attention to detail, and a deep understanding of clinical laboratory processes.
 

Key Learning Outcomes:

  • Perform biochemical, hematological, immunological, and microbiological tests accurately.
  • Operate laboratory equipment such as hematology analyzers, and microscope.
  • Ensure quality control and maintain laboratory safety standards.
  • Interpret and validate laboratory results.
  • Apply ethical and professional standards in all aspects of laboratory work.
